Preheat oven 350 degrees.
* 2/3 Cup Butter, raw/unsalted, softened
* 1/4 Cup Honey, organic
* 2 Cups Flour, fresh-milled, organic
Cream butter and syrup. Stir in flour.
Press into a buttered 15" x 10" x 1" baking dish.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
* 1 Cup Chocolate Drops, semi-sweet
* 1 Cup Maple Syrup, Grade B, organic
* 4 Eggs (grass pasteured), lightly beaten
* 2 Teaspoons Peppermint Extract
* 2.5 Cups Nuts (your choice!), chopped
Melt chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth.
Remove from heat. Stir in syrup, eggs and extract.
Fold in the nuts. Spread evenly over hot dough.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until firm around the edges.
Option===> While cooling, you could add 4 ounces
of melted, additional chocolate drops with a teaspoon
of butter or whole, raw milk to drizzle over the top
as the final topping.
Cut into squares and enjoy OR refrigerate for later...
but, not too much later!
